2024 has been a bit of a whirlwind! Life, love, family, and everything in between have all been in motion, making it a challenge to focus on any single part. I leaned into Real Estate Photography, finding regularity and structure in capturing the essence of each property while prioritizing my family, connecting in relationships, and personal growth—all while learning to genuinely love and live. Taking a short sabbatical from relying on professional portraiture allowed me to be more present and fully immerse myself in these moments. During this time, I have also been working on life skills and communication, rediscovering joy in the little things I had lost over the years since entering the workforce. I find myself gradually reconnecting with my authentic self, grateful to detach from the pressures of being constantly in the demanding online and media landscape. I'm feeling "real" again.
Thankfully without so much on my plate, I’ve been able to focus on establishing a more permanent style of image processing, aiming for a congruent final look that aligns with my concepts and wants for my official portfolio and reflecting a vision I am truly happy with. I've also had the opportunity to teach in a better style and format a more congruent way of teaching my intern, that instils a healthier business model.
